COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Taco & Margarita Festival

Food has a unique way of bringing people together, and the Taco & Margarita Festival does just that—celebrating culture, supporting small businesses, and strengthening community ties in North Charleston. This annual event highlights the diversity of our city, featuring Hispanic-owned businesses, authentic cuisine, handcrafted goods, and live entertainment that showcases the vibrant cultural tapestry of our community.

More than just a festival, this event serves as an economic driver for local entrepreneurs, giving them a platform to reach new audiences and expand their businesses. Proceeds from the event are reinvested into The Holy City Foundation’s community engagement initiatives, ensuring that the impact extends beyond the festival itself.

Other Community Engagement Initiatives:

  • Volunteer Projects – Organizing service opportunities that empower residents to give back.

  • Town Hall Meetings – Creating spaces for open dialogue on local issues and community-driven solutions.

  • Cultural Festivals – Celebrating diversity through music, food, and art that reflect North Charleston’s rich heritage.

  • Neighborhood Beautification – Leading clean-up drives and green space development projects.

  • Civic Engagement Workshops – Educating residents on their rights, responsibilities, and ways to actively participate in local governance.

Strong communities are built on connections, and every event, program, and initiative we host is designed to foster relationships, celebrate diversity, and drive meaningful change.
